I am resident at the FU Berlin and my supervisor is Prof. Dr. Corinna Eule. I graduated in veterinary medicine at the university of Leipzig in 2002. Afterwards, I studied the molecular mechanisms of diabetic retinopathy and retinal angiogenesis as a graduate of the international graduate college “vascular medicine” of the universities of Mannheim/Heidelberg/Groningen. In 2009 I defended my ph.d. thesis at the university of Groningen. After a postdoc time at the university of Mannheim I completed an internship and started my residency in 2011 at the FU Berlin.
