Angelie graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College (OVC) at the University of Guelph in Canada in 2010. She completed a rotating internship at the OVC and spent several years in small animal emergency practice at various referral centres in Canada. She went on to complete a master's degree in ophthalmology in 2019 at the OVC. She did her residency at the Vetsuisse Faculty at the University of Zurich, under the supervision of Simon Pot, Antonella Rampazzo and Katrin Voelter from 2021 to 2024. She passed the board examination in 2025 and currently works as a senior clinician and supervisor at a multidisciplinary referral hospital in the UK.
