I graduated from the University of Valencia CEU, Spain in 2006. After one year of externships and small practice work in France, I undertook a one-year rotational internship at the Veterinary Referral Hospital Fregis in Paris in 2007-2008. Afterwards I spent one year working in general practice in the UK and I developed my professional interest in the ophthalmology field by attending master’s degree courses at the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 2010 and at the University of Toulouse in 2011-2012. After returning to Spain I combined the clinical practice with teaching experience at the University of Valencia CEU for several years. From 2014 to 2019 I worked at the second opinion ophthalmology centre Oftalmovet in Valencia where my passion for both clinical and surgical ophthalmology interventionism kept growing. In 2019 I moved back to the UK to complete several externship programs and to validate my Advance Veterinary Practice in Ophthalmology. My ECVO residency at the Autonomous University of Barcelona started in September 2020 under the supervision of Dr. Marta Leiva and Dr. Teresa Peña. Outside of work I enjoy hiking, climbing, reading and spending time with friends and family.
