My name is Stefan Savov. I graduated from University of Forestry Management – Sofia, Bulgaria in 2002. My passion for Ophthalmology started long before that. I worked as a general practitioner in Emergency clinics in Sofia until 2012. I did my first general internship in 2008 in Veterinary hospital in Pavia, Italy. I deepened my knowledge and skills by taking second internship at Visionvet, a referral ophthalmology clinic in Bologna, Italy in 2012. Afterwards I moved to United Kingdom where I worked in small animal general practice in South-West London. I did my third rotating internship at Willows Referral Centre. Meanwhile, in 2016 I completed successfully the BSAVA Post Graduated Certificate in Small Animal Ophthalmology. Consequently, my next step was to start a residency program in ophthalmology. Therefore, 2019 I moved back to Italy and in February 2020 I started the program under the supervision of Dr. Laura Barachetti (Dipl.ECVO,PhD,DVM).
