Ángel graduated from the University of Zaragoza (Spain) in 2011. Afterwards, he undertook a two-year rotating (2012-2013) and a three-year ophthalmology internship (2014-2016) in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital at the same university. During this period, he also completed a Master of Science in clinical research (2012), two post-graduate degrees (2015-2016), the “Eye camp” (2016), as well as different clinical rotations in the United States, Italy and Spain. Ángel successfully completed his PhD on corneal collagen cross-linking in April 2017. From 2017 to 2020, he performed the ECVO residency at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (Spain), obtaining the diploma in 2021.
