She graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of “Federico II” in Naples, Italy, in 1989, where she completed a one-year surgical internship. In 2001, she underwent a one-year clinical rotation in the Ophthalmology Department of the “Ecole Nationale Vétérinaire de Maisons Alfort” in Paris, France, followed by a residency program in ophthalmology from 2002 to 2005 under the supervision of Prof. Bernard Clerc. After spending two years as an ophthalmologist clinician in Paris, France, she relocated to Quebec, Canada, and worked as an ophthalmologist clinician at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital University of St-Hyacinthe (University of Montreal) from 2007 to 2022. In 2009, she obtained the title of Diplomate of the ECVO. In 2021, she completed a Master’s degree in veterinary pathology at the University of Montreal. In 2022, she became an assistant professor at the ophthalmology service of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Montreal.
