Eye Veterinary Clinic: Experienced Clinical Ophthalmologist
Eye Veterinary Clinic is a progressive practice in rural Herefordshire on the UK English Welsh border. We are recruiting an experienced Clinical Ophthalmologist. The successful applicant will preferably be Board certified/ Board eligible but competence in intraocular procedures is required. An excellent remuneration package is offered.
The practice is a busy dedicated ophthalmology practice, situated in a purpose built building. The practice covers all species. Assistant professor of Ophthalmology post (tenure track) for DECVO, DACVO or ECVO/ACVO Residency trained clinician. Department of Clinical Sciences, NorthCarolina State University (NCSU)
The Department of Clinical Sciences at NCSU, College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a tenure- track Assistant Professor of Veterinary Ophthalmology.
Qualifications: D.V.M. (or equivalent) degree and eligibility for veterinary licensure (or faculty licensure) in the State of North Carolina. In addition, Diplomate status in the American or European College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists (ACVO/ECVO) or completion of an ACVO (or equivalent) residency program with demonstrable progress toward ACVO or ECVO board certification is required. Preference will be given to candidates with ACVO Diplomate status, a postgraduate degree, training and experience in basic or clinical research, and demonstrable research potential with a strong interest and ability to develop an active, funded research program.
Responsibilities: Work with 3 other ophthalmologists (2 faculty, 1 Associate Dean) to provide effective patient care and valued learning experiences for veterinary students, residents, graduate students, and veterinary practitioners. Faculty member will participate in clinical responsibilities of the Small Animal and Equine Ophthalmology services of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital including organizing and supervising of daily activities and personnel, and patient care. They will participate in continuing education, public relations programs, and committees of the College of Veterinary Medicine. Development of an independent research program is required, as is participation in collaborative research efforts of the Ophthalmology Section.
