Sébastien Monclin graduated from the University of Liège, Belgium in 2003. He completed a one year rotating internship followed by a one year specialized internship in ophthalmology and surgery at the same institution. He undertook his ECVO residency under the mentorship of Magda Grauwels. Sebastien moved to England to work in two different veterinary hospitals (in Maidstone and St Helens). He obtained the European Diploma in Veterinary Ophthalmology in 2011. In 2012 Sébastien moved back to Belgium. He started to work part time in private practices (Animal Clinic and Anymalis) and part time at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital of the University of Liège where he now leads the ophthalmology department. Sébastien has been a member of the ECVO Education and Residency Committee, head of the belgian ECVO panel and is now a member of the Exam Committee.
