Maurice currently works at the Clinique Vétérinaire, 64 Bd Barry, 13013 Marseille, in France. He graduated from from Lyon/France Veterinary School in 1968 and became a Lecturer in Comparative Ophthalmology (Marseille Medicine University ) in 1984 and a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists in 1992. in addition, he obtained a Diploma in Microsurgical Research in 1985. Maurice has been actively involved in various aspects of the specialty over the years and has been President of GEMO (1988-1990), a member of the Executive Committee of the ESVO (1994-1999), Chairman of the ECVO Education Affairs Committee (1995-2003), Secretary of the ISVO (1997-2003) and President of the ISVO (2008-2009).
